John Howley
Past President and Member of the Board of Directors
John Howley has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce since 1990 and served as the Chamber’s President from 1992 to 2002. He is a lawyer and managing partner of the Law Offices of John Howley, Esq. For more than 20 years, he has advised companies on their investments and business operations in the US and the Philippines. He has helped clients find suitable business partners, secure contracts, negotiate joint ventures, arrange financing, recover assets, and resolve disputes. He has also advised the governments of the Philippines, India, Mongolia, and the United Kingdom.
In addition to his legal and advisory work, John has managed a Philippine-based company on the ground. As President of Davies Energy Systems, Inc., John built and managed an energy services company with operations in the U.S. and the Philippines.
John has served on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and as a member of the President’s Circle of the Asia Society. He has been invited to speak on Philippine business issues at the Harvard Business School, the Fordham University School of Business, the Asian Institute of Management, the Asia Society, and numerous other universities, corporations, and conferences.
